Ministry of Hajj reduce the number of Umrah visas during Ramadan due to expansion under work which will not be completed

The Ministry of Hajj on an annual basis opens the door to pilgrimage(Umrah during Ramadan) for nearly 1.5 pilgrims, but the Chambers of Commerce and Tourism in the Arab countries and Islamic surprised by the arrival of the decision of the Ministry of Hajj goal of reducing pilgrims to about 500 thousand pilgrims in the world during the month of Ramadan next is the peak season for Umrah. 

Due to expansion of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, which will not be completed by the month of Ramadan and therefore would not accommodate the Grand Mosque to all the numbers that come to perform Umrah in the month of Ramadan, which brings the number of visitors for about a million and a half pilgrims.

وقال بركات: إن وزارة الحج وبشكل سنوي تفتح باب العمرة لما يقارب 1.5معتمر إلا أن الغرف التجارية السياحية بالدول العربية والإسلامية تفاجأت بوصول قرار وزارة الحج المتمثل في خفض المعتمرين لنحو 500 ألف معتمر على مستوى العالم خلال شهر رمضان القادم وهو موسم الذروة بالنسبة للعمرة بسبب توسعات الحرم المكى والتي لن تنتهي بحلول شهر رمضان وبالتالي لن يستوعب الحرم المكي كل الأعداد التي تأتي لتأدية مناسك العمرة في شهر رمضان والذي يصل عدد الزائرين نحو مليون ونصف معتمر.
