Tabiat Bridge
|
Metro redline to
station Shah Haghani, which leads directly to the Museum and garden. A
wonderful walk up the hill will lead to the Tabiat Bridge where one can enjoy
a good cuppa of Iranian tea before heading toward the Vanak Square. the view
from bridge toward north Tehran is also very photogenic. The bridge was lit with
changing colors of purple, green and yellow at night and we can walk on the
bridge to the other side. The bridge itself has 3 levels: lower level is
restaurant, quite busy with customers, 2nd and 3rd levels allow pedestrians.
The bridge connected to public park together "Abo Atash Park" and
"Taleghani Park" over Moddaress Highway. To arrive at least one hour before sundown
to experience both day and night view.

DAY 10 - Sat, 14 Apr

Mount Tochal

the place is only
opened around 8.30 am. Telecabin is closed on Sunday & Monday 1) Use Red
Line Metro to the last station (Tajrish station). 2) Walk to Tajrish SQ in
the taxi station there are some taxis and van (20,000 IR) 3) Tickets
up&down are 200k Rial (4-5 EUR) 4) On returning do not take the taxis
that wait at the gate as they wants 250,000 Rials. Just walk down the road
and wait and a local savari (white car) will stop and just say Tajrish and if
he goes there he will take you. Cost only 20,000 Rials for this. They will
stop at the Tajrish bus station which is only 5 mins walk to the metro. but
do walk around the bazaar which is at the bus station.

close to the Northern end of Line 1 (Red Line) Tajrish Metro Station.
Exit Tajrish Metro Station keep walking straight and you will arrive at Tajrish Square from there you can either take a taxi approx. 5/10 minutes drive or if you are feeling fit, walk, which will take you approx. 25/30 minutes. |
Tajrish Bazaar and
the nearby Imamzadeh Saleh Mausoleum

It’s much smaller
than the Grand Bazaar and less crowded. It is located in the northern-most
area of Tehran and it can be reached by taking a red line metro all the way
to Tajrish.

Treasure

Located on Firdousi
street, a 15 minute walk from Imam Khomeini Metro Station, the Jewels
Treasury is housed in a dimly lit basement of a bank building. It's open for
viewing only from 2 pm to 4 pm on 4 days of the week. There are English
speaking guides who give you a complimentary tour of the Treasury.
